Let’s look at some numbers!
Statistics show that over sixty-five percent of the shots played in a round of golf are from fifty yards and in. Yet ninety percent of the practice time spent by amateur golfers is dedicated to the full swing. It is interesting to note, that the average tour player spends more time on their short game than the full swing. In some cases up to 75 percent of their practice time! Wow!
I would like to make a point. Common sense should tell us if you want to become a better golfer, PRACTICE YOUR SHORT GAME!!!!
Develop a routine that includes at least half of your practice time focused on the scoring shots. Better still, seek out one of our area’s fine PGA professionals to establish a productive practice routine that will help you develop your game, confidence, and performance around the greens. Give me a call, join one of the “master the short game’ clinics , and start playing better golf, Guaranteed!
Finally, I want you to think about your learning and lesson experience. Let’s make it productive?
I would like to introduce more of you to the “olde school golf school” concept of instruction, with a focus on solid fundamentals, timing, rhythm, fun, feel on the range and practice area, and on the course application and experience.
